700 MW Wind Power Project Agreement Signed Between Ministry of Energy and MARV Energy.

An agreement was signed today at the Ministry of Energy between the General Establishment for Electricity Transmission and Distribution and MARV Energy, marking the launch of a 700 MW wind power project. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir, Minister of Energy.

The project aims to install locally manufactured wind turbines across multiple sites within the Syrian Arab Republic and connect them to the national electricity grid.

 

This initiative will strengthen generation capacity and support the Ministry’s strategy to expand the use of renewable energy sources.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Energy by H.E. Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir, and on behalf of MARV Energy by CEO Ms. Valerina Elias. The ceremony was also attended by Eng. Omar Shakrouq, Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs, and Mr. Walid Elias, Chairman of MARV Energy.
